Smart Choices for Your Mind and Body

One of the most important aspects of our lives is food. Studies show that without food one can last around a month or two. Keep in mind that your quality of life near the end stages of your life will be miserable and painful.
On the other hand, if we eat too much on a consistent basis, we will become obese and die a painful and immobile death due to failures in key organs in our body.
So as one can see, there is definitely extremes that must be avoided when it comes to our eating habits, and food choices. We must maintain smart food choices that include, enough protein, carbs, fats, veggies, and water to ensure we live a long and happy life.
What we "feed" our minds is also key to our survival and must not be overlooked. The books, movies, shows, and music we "feed" on, shape our thoughts, actions, and eventually who we are. If we listen to music that promotes depression, violence, and fear, we will eventually become people that are depressed, violent, and anxious. Likewise, if we listen to music that promotes happiness, inspiration, and peace, we will eventually become happy, inspired, and peaceful.
The key word in all of this is EVENTUALLY. No changes to our mind and body will happen instantaneously but will be gradual. This makes it hard to stay motivated for positive change and similarly aware of the negative changes in our lives.
So, we must protect and nurture our minds and bodies with smart and healthy choices of food or content to live a long, happy, and high performing life.
